SUMMER ENRICHMENT CAMPS

Looking for a way to keep your kids engaged and learning over the summer? Join us for one (or several) of our summer enrichment camps! Camps are open to students from any school. Camp options, dates, and prices are listed below.

MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP

June 13-17

Grades 2-4

$180

Musical Theatre camp will explore Musical Theatre in all areas.  The camp will focus on areas of vocal performance, acting and choreography. The camp will take place on stage in the auditorium.  There will be a Friday evening performance to conclude our camp time.  The purpose of this camp is to expose students to the many different aspects of Musical Theatre and to perform in a mini show that they will be proud of.  Camp will be from 9:00am-12:00 pm each day.  A t-shirt and snack are included in the price as well as royalty fees, assistants and choreographer.  This camp is limited to 25 students.  Please contact JJ Davenport with any questions.  256-710-7672. jdavenport@mhbs.org

LADY PANTHER SOFTBALL CAMP

June 20-22

Grades K-6

Coach: Mollie Mitchell

 

Coach Lowry and the Lady Panthers welcome all girls in K-6th out for a great learning experience. We will work on the fundamentals of the game of softball, along with fun games with Lady Panther team members. Camp will be from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm each day and all campers will receive a camp t-shirt. Registration forms will be sent home and will also be available on our Facebook page. ART CAMP

June 29-July 1

Grades K-7

Art camp will be an amazing adventure in the Mars Hill Bible School Art Room where students will learn techniques in drawing, painting, sculpting, crafting, singing, and more.

 

Students entering Kindergarten – 3rd grades will meet from 9am to 12pm each day and 4th-7th grades will meet from 1pm to 4 pm. The camp fee will include a daily snack and camp t-shirt. STEM CAMP

July 11-15

Grades 1-4

Camp STEM has been carefully designed to keep young brains entertained and stimulated throughout the week by providing fun and engaging learning opportunities through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities. Students will work both within their grade level and across grade levels to provide mentoring opportunities for older students, while allowing younger students to benefit from the skills and knowledge of their older peers.

 

Every day of camp will include three sessions, science, math, and robotics, with breaks, lunch, and group activities in between. Camp will be Monday – Friday from 9am to 2pm. Each camper will get a camp T-shirt. The $200 fee includes the t-shirt and daily supplies. A $60 deposit required to register with the remaining balance due by the 1st day of camp. Fees are non-refundable after July 1.

 

No early drop-off or late pick-up. Drop-off will be 8:45-9:00. Pick-up will be 1:45-2:00. Drop-off and Pick-up will be under the awning in front of the old gym, behind the school. Students need to bring a snack and a lunch daily.

PANTHER BASEBALL CAMP

July 5, 7, & 8

Grades 2-6 $85

Coach: Josh Willingham

Mars Hill Baseball Camp will focus on the development of basic offensive and defensive fundamentals. These same fundamentals are practiced at all levels of baseball, including the Major Leagues. We will use these fundamentals and put them to use in game type situations. Camp will be held from 6:30-9:00 p.m. each night to avoid the heat of the day. LADY PANTHER VOLLEYBALL CAMP

July 18-20

Grades 2-6

Lady Panther Volleyball Camp will focus on introducing the sport of volleyball to young girls.  The camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of volleyball which will include hitting, passing, serving, and setting.  Each day will be filled with fun team and individual competitions.  Camp times will be from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm each day. PANTHER BASKETBALL CAMP

Grades 2-6

Boys basketball camp will focus on developing individual skills and player development, as well as on learning 5 on 5 team concepts. Players will be given opportunities to learn about offensive and defensive skills. Camp times will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. CHEER CAMP

Coming Fall 2022

Cheer camp will be a fun time for girls to work with some of the varsity cheerleaders to practice cheer, spirit, jumps, stunts, and more. Camp will take place in the Fall, and the girls will perform at a varsity football game with the varsity cheer squad. This camp will be for those entering TK-5th grades.
