Summer Enrichment Camps

Looking for a way to keep your kids engaged and learning over the summer? Join us for one (or several) of our summer enrichment camps! Camps are open to students from any school. Check out the options below.

Camp Options


Dates: June-July

Open to: Grades 4-7

Cost: $100

Director: Courtney Hargett

Math camp will focus on the individual needs of each camper by using IXL to identify any trouble areas, provide helpful tips and tricks, and address any gaps in order to provide math confidence before starting a new grade level.

Camp dates are June 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th & July 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th. Camp will go from 10-11 AM each day. The cost is $100 for those 8 sessions and a $50 deposit is required to hold your spot. Space is limited to ensure individual attention. You may Venmo, PayPal, or send a check to MHBS before June 1st.

Open to: Grades 2-4

Cost: $180

Musical Theatre camp will explore Musical Theatre in all areas. Camp will have focus areas on vocal performance, acting and choreography. The camp will take place on stage in the auditorium. There will be a Friday afternoon performance to conclude our camp time. The purpose of this camp is to expose students to the many different aspects of Musical Theatre and to perform in a mini show that they will be proud of. Camp will be from 9:00 am-12:00 pm each day. A t-shirt and snack are included in the price as well as royalty fees, assistants and choreographer. This camp is limited to 25 students.

Dates:June 3-5

Open to: Grades K-6

Cost: $90

Coach: Mollie Lowry

This camp will emphasize the fundamentals of the game of softball. Coach Mollie Lowry and the Lady Panther softball team will lead campers in drills to improve all aspects of their game.

Camp cost is $90 and will go from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM each day. This includes a t-shirt and popsicle/snack each day at camp. (Must be registered by May 15th to guarantee t-shirt size! Registrations after May 15th are welcome, but t-shirts are not guaranteed.) Campers should bring their own water, glove, bat, helmet, and face mask. If they do not have a bat or helmet, we can let them borrow one.

Cost: $250

Art- The art camp will be an energetic mix of learning and fun in the Mars Hill art room. From large-scale painting to making miniatures with clay, you’ll discover new ways to use your creativity to brighten the world!

Robotics- Robotics camp is a fun opportunity for students to learn about building and programming robots. The students will learn the steps of the Engineering Design Process and how to apply them. We will use BeeBots, Dash, Lego WeDo
2.0, and Vex robots. We will have daily hands-on challenges that provide opportunities for the students to show how innovative they are.

Science- Science camp sessions are a week-long adventure into the world of science. Children can learn about the Scientific Method through hands-on science experiments and STEM challenges.

Lady Panther Volleyball Camp will focus on introducing the sport of volleyball to young girls. The camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of volleyball which will include hitting, passing, serving, and setting. Each day will be filled with fun team and individual competitions. Camp times will be from 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM each day. Registration forms will be sent home and can also be found on the MHBS website.

Girls’ basketball camp will focus on individual player development and the fundamentals of basketball. Camp times are from 9-11:30 each day. A daily snack and camp t-shirt are included. Registration forms will be sent home.

Dates:July 1-3

Open to: Grades 2-6

Cost: $85

Mars Hill Baseball Camp will focus on the development of basic offensive and defensive fundamentals. These same fundamentals are practiced at all levels of baseball, including the Major Leagues.

We will use these fundamentals and put them to use in game type situations. Camp times are as follows: July 1st from 6:45-9:00 PM, July 2nd from 7:00-9:00 PM, and July 3rd from 9:00-10:30 AM. Boys Basketball Camp will focus on developing individual skills, shooting and player development, as well as on learning 5 on 5 team concepts. Players will be given opportunities to learn about offensive and defensive skills. Camp times will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. Registration forms will be sent home with students. Cost: $75

Robotics camp is for students interested in VEX robotics. You will learn how to build and code a VEX robot. Students will also learn how to compose an engineering notebook. Please fill out a form to register for VEX Robotics Camp. It is offered to students entering 3rd through 8th grades. Be sure to fill out one form for each student. Camp is from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM June 17-19. The cost is $75 and fees are non-refundable after July 1. No early drop-off or late pick-up. Drop-off 8:45-9:00 and pick-up 11:45-12:00.
