Elementary Robotics:
MHBS has an Elementary Robotics Club for grades 1-4 and a Kindergarten Coding Club. Grades 1-4 meet November through February . The Kindergarten Coding club meets during the month of February. There is also a Robotics camp that meets during the summer. The students have the opportunity to learn about working together, programming, and the Engineering Design process. They use BeeBots, LEGO WeDo 2.0, Dash robots, and VEX Robots. This year the Elementary Panther Robotics team will compete in the University of North Alabama Robotics competition on January 26th.
Middle/High School Robotics:
MHBS offers a middle school Robotics class for grades 5-8. The students use the VEX IQ Robot curriculum as well as CODE.ORG. They learn about the Engineering Design process, programming, and robotics. MHBS also has a middle and high school Robotics club for grades 5-12. The Panther Robotics team competes in the North West Alabama BEST Robotics competition in the fall and The University of North Alabama Robotics competition in January.
