SHOW CHOIR/CELEBRATION
A cast and crew made up of 100 students, performances in front of 1000 spectators, and a 'ton of energy and excitement' turn Celebration/Show Choir into one of the year's premiere events.

2011 CELEBRATION ONCE AGAIN IN UNA'S NORTON AUD.

The 2011 edition of CELEBRATION: SHOW CHOIR 2011 performed before over 3000 people at Norton Auditorium on the campus of the University of Notrh Alabama. "We simply outgrew our facilities at MHBS," Mrs. Laurie Mitchell, Celebration director explained. "Last year we turned away many of our elementary students and members of the community because there weren't enough seats. UNA's Norton Auditorium offered a great venue for our students, their families and all those who wish to see the show."

Performances were Friday, September 9, and Saturday, September 10, and at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, September 11.

CELEBRATION 2011: DAZZLING/THE BEST EVER!

Colorful. Energetic. Professional. Great Music and Choreography. Dazzling costumes. Hours and hours of hard work. A crowd pleaser. Select any of the references above and you still couldn't explain the value of Show Choir. The performances were spectacular as MHBS students performed before over 1000 people at each performance. Among the audience favorites were "It's Magic!" The two-hour performances drew rave reviews from audience members. Comments like, "It's as good as anything we see in Branson or Pigeon Forge," "I can't believe those were high school students--they're so polished" and "That was just an amazing performance; I wish everyone could see it" were commonplace.

"PATRIOTIC TRIBUTE!"

context

One of the 'crowd pleasers"' from "Celebration 2011" was the patriotic salute to the "Greatest Generation" in the "World War II Medley" and the "Golden Dream" that concluded Act I. The huge American Flag covered the large stage at UNA.
