Mars Hill Bible School alumnus James Bobo (’62) and his mother, Mrs. Lena Bobo, provided Mars Hill with a $1,000,000 gift to go toward the construction of a badly needed Performing Arts Center/Auditorium. Other donors and foundations have joined the Bobo family to pledge or contribute toward the project but additional assistance is needed.

The 1,100-seat Performing Arts Center would include dressing rooms, rehearsal and storage areas, a large lobby for patrons, office space and storage. The estimated cost for the structure ranges between $5-6 million. The Performing Arts Center would replace the outdated, outsized Morris Auditorium which has been in use since 1959.

Naming opportunities are still available for various parts of the facility.
