STUDENTS ARE CHALLENGED DURING ANNUAL LIFE DAYS
Life Day 2010-2011 for students in grades 5-8 occurred at the Killen Municipal Park and the Killen Church of Christ in October. Hiawathia Jones, a missionary in Guatemala, was the guest speaker for the day.
In addition to his lessons, faculty members shared brief devotional thoughts with students, students divided into small groups and high school students led devotionals, prayer sessions, bible reading sessions, and singing sessions. Mr. Mars Hill, Josh Wear, began the day with a devotional lesson. The theme for the 2010-2011 Life Day was "God's GPS."
THE LIFE DAY TRADITION
Middle school students have observed annual Life Day activities at MHBS for some 20 years. The full day of spiritual activities traditionally occurs in late spring.
