Mike Mitchell Athletic Director Mr. Mitchell ('74) oversees the total MHBS athletic program and coaches boys' basketball. He has coached five MH girls' basketball teams to state titles. He also coached a state runner-up in both girls' basketball and baseball. In her first season at Mars Hill she guided a team with no seniors to finish in a tie for the area championship. Football is the youngest of all Mars Hill's athletic programs. With a thriving junior high and JV team already in place, Coach Mills hopes to expand the program to include a varsity team by the 2014 season.
