Mars Hill Bible School
FORENSICS
Mars Hill Forensics is one of the oldest school activities and dates back to the late 1940s. Students earn scores of honors and awards every year as they compete throughout the nation.

MH has been a member of the National Forensic League since 1971.

Awards have been received in Public Forum Debate, Duo Interpretation, Original Oratory, Impromptu Speaking, Dramatic Interpretation, Prose Interpretation, Poetry Interpretation and Humorous Interpretation. Jonathan Bigham also claimed top honors in the county Voice of Democracy competition. The following students placed in the top three during this year's competitions:

NATIONAL FORENSIC LEAGUE DISTRICT/NATIONAL QUALIFIERS

  • Connor Lyons and Amy Chiou are the champion duo interpretation team for Alabama and earned a berth in the National Forensic League National Tournament in Kansas City in June.  The duo interpretation team of Will Brown and Josh Davis finished 4th. John Adams finished 4th in dramatic interpretation and Josh Davis was 5th in humorous interpretation.  The freshman public forum team of Rachel Parker and Molly Moore finished in a tie for 8th (out of 50 entries).
