DRAMA CLASS STAGES "ONCE ON THIS ISLAND"
"Once on this Island" was staged in late April by the HS Drama Class. Junior Britlyn Jarrett had the lead in the musical directed by Mrs. J. J. Davenport. The parts of the island gods were portrayed by Elizabeth Bruce, Austin Collum, Josh Davis and Ashley Hargett.
"ANNIE, JUNIOR" A BIG HIT
The Drama Department's presentation of the abbreviated musical, "Annie, Junior" in Morris Auditorium on February 5-6 proved to be a big hit with parents, relatives, friends and members of the community. Under the direction of Mrs. J. J. Davenport, the play includeed a large number of elementary and middle school children as well as high school cast and crew.
The part of Annie was played by sixth grader Abby Stutts while her classmate Madison Haney portrayed Mrs. Hannigan. Josh Davis assumeed the role of Oliver Warbucks and Ashley Hargett played his secretary Grace Farrell. Elizabeth Bruce and Sarah Myrick were the stage managers and Lindsey May was the prop manager.
Other cast members were as follows: Sandy (Jacob Hennigan), Bundles McCloskey (Austin Collum), Apple Seller (Lucas Anderson), Dogcatcher (Dylan Brown), Lt. Ward (Silas McGee), Drake (Thomas Haynes), Cecille (Sidney Harmon), Annette (Hannah Foust), Mrs. Greer (Rachel Richmond), Mrs. Pugh (Katie Clemmons), Star-to-be (Hannah Mitchell), Man-in-window (Dylan Brown), Usherette (Brianna Robertson), Radio Announcer (Eric Puryear), Rooster Hannigan (Connor Lyons), Lily St. Regis (Reagan Williams), Sound Effects Man (Lucas Anderson), Bert Healy (Gunnar Sherrill), President Roosevelt (Austin Collum) and Louis Howe (Eric Puryear).
Orphans included Sydney Perreault, Brittany Brown, Mary Brooke Willis, Ellen Davenport, Annsley Wilson, Jennah Abrams, Braiden Jackson, Brantley Jackson, Kesley Butler, Anna Bigham, Laura Choate and Katie Clark. Servants are Michaela South, Hannah Bigham, Hannah Miller, Olivia Simpson, Rebecca Hennigan, Britney McDaniel, Emma Clark, Hailey Chastain and Cele Moon.

JUNIOR ACCEPTED TO PRESTIGIOUS PROGRAM
Austin Collum recently auditioned for and was selected to attend the Musical Theatre summer program at Oklahoma City University. This is one of the most prestigious musical theatre schools in the nation.
