REGIONAL ACCREDITATION

Mars Hill Bible School opened its doors in the fall of 1947 and earned immediate accreditation from the Alabama State Department of Education. It maintained that accreditation until the state department stopped the practice of accrediting schools. Since 1971, the school has been fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), now known as AdvancED. MHBS principals have served several terms on the Alabama State Committee for SACS.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IS KEY GOAL

context

From the outset, the goal for MHBS membership in SACS/ AdvancED has been the improvement of the overall educational program. MHBS is committed to providing all students the very best academic program possible. That begins by having a dedicated, qualified faculty. Many MH faculty hold advanced degrees and an average of better than 15 years of teaching experience.
